Our History

Molise scarl was created to promote the socio-economic development of rural areas through the LEADER strategy, which is based on the so-called "bottom-up" approach and focuses on LAGs, made up of a public-private partnership, whose task is to develop and implement a pilot, innovative, integrated and multi-sectoral development strategy at the local level.

GAL Molise designed and managed the Community Initiative “Leader II” (Programming 1994-1999), the PIC Leader+ (Programming 2000-2006) with the PSL “Communities that look to the future” and Axis 4 “Leader approach” within the RDP Molise Region 2007/2013 with the PSL “Continuing innovation”, achieving significant results in rural development.

In the current programming period 2014/2020, GAL Molise is managing, within the scope of Measure 19 “Support for Leader local development” of the Molise Region RDP, the Local Development Plan “The Inclusive and Hospitable Intelligent Bio Territory”.

Over the years, the company, through the commitment of its members and the partnership, has transformed itself into a "Local Development Agency" by addressing local needs, expanding its scope of operations and interventions. Specifically, the company has developed activities in national and international cooperation projects, actively contributing to the development of a stable network of public and private entities to define best practices for local development, as well as providing technical assistance and professional training.
