SPICE
Supporting Professional Innovation
in Culinary Entrepreneurship
Project Summary
SPICE is a cooperation project between Albania, Italy and Montenegro that addresses high youth unemployment, in particular among NEET (15–29 years old) and women. Through training, coaching and practical experimentation in the food and wine sector, the project wants to transform young people from "job seekers" into "job creators", enhancing the local culinary heritage and tourism linked to food.
SPICE's overall goal is to create an ecosystem that promotes innovation, sustainable development and professional growth in the gastronomy sector, offering young NEET technical, management and entrepreneurial skills, stimulating self-entrepreneurship and the birth of innovative micro-enterprises in food & wine and tourism.
The project includes: 1 joint strategy for self-entrepreneurship paths for young people in the gastronomic sector; at least one integrated coaching and light training path with a total of 20 participants; the activation of 4 "Gastronomic Residences" in the partner territories and the creation of a permanent cross-border network of residences, formalized by a Memorandum of Understanding.
