On July 17, at the Conference Room of the GAL Molise in Campobasso, an event dedicated to the Digital Plan project was held, as part of which a platform based on IoT (Internet of Things) technologies and a decision support system for monitoring the territory and the evaluation of risk scenarios related to meteorological events was developed.
The meeting was dedicated to testing the platform, with the aim of verifying its correct functioning, evaluating the effectiveness of the alert system and the network of sensors installed on the territory, as well as answering the questions of the subjects involved in the use of the tool.
During the day, the project, the platform's alert system and a practical simulation of two meteorological warning scenarios were presented, thanks to the interventions of Adolfo Colagiovanni, Nicola Bonavita (Arpes Srl), Antonio Cardillo (Civil Protection Molise Region), Massimiliano Fazzini (GAL Molise) and Alfredo Salvatore (Sensor ID).
An important opportunity for comparison to verify the potential of the platform and its contribution to monitoring, prevention and emergency management support activities.
