RENEWAT

Renewable Energies in European Water Mills

Project Summary

Within the framework of the project RENEWAT, the partners involved will share knowledge and experience to promote initiatives and activities related to the use of renewable energy in existing water mills. Topics such as financial models, technical skills and administrative procedures will be deepened, with the aim of developing inspiring good practices that can be adapted and applied by the members of the partnership. In this way, the intention is to improve the tools of local policy and encourage the start-up of regeneration processes for existing water mills.

The overall objective of RENEWAT is to improve the skills of local and regional actors in the territories of the partners on the repowering of water mills, so that this source of renewable energy is clearly identified and supported in their local and regional policies in the context of the renewable energy mix.
