Community, environment and green budget: GAL Molise at the transnational meeting of Green B-LEAF in Skopje

🌱 Green B-LEAF: new ideas for more resilient territories

On September 30 and October 1, the GAL Molise and the Municipality of Campobasso participated in Skopje, in North Macedonia, the second meeting of the Community of Practice and the third transnational meeting of Green B-LEAF.

Two days of discussion and experimentation to understand how to involve communities in local decisions and link environmental priorities to budget choices.

From theory to practice: through a Community Forum simulation, the participants experienced firsthand how dialogue and confrontation between citizens can help identify needs and define priorities for the territory. The workshop on the Green Budget Tagging Tool instead delved into a tool to link public resources to environmental and climate goals.

The study visit in Kumanovo completed the path, with the discovery of redevelopment interventions in some municipal schools carried out through the Community Forums: a concrete example of participation that translates into actions for the community.
