The GAL Molise, partner of the European project FENESTRAE, promotes the Call for Ideas aimed at companies, start-ups, university spin-offs and professionals who develop innovative solutions for smart buildings, energy efficiency and sustainable agriculture.
Financed by Interreg VI-B IPA ADRION Program, the FENESTRAE project promotes cooperation between universities, research centers and organizations for the territorial development of the Adriatic-Ionic area with the aim of accelerating the technological transfer and accompanying innovations from the laboratory to the market.
The FENESTRAE project focuses on the development and dissemination of innovative technologies for building envelopes, with particular attention to windows and smart surfaces that can improve the energy efficiency of buildings and greenhouses. The solutions covered by the project include innovative materials that react to light and temperature, intelligent energy management systems and advanced technologies to reduce consumption, increase the comfort of the environment and contribute to the decarbonization of the construction and agricultural sector.
The Call is aimed at companies and professionals who are developing or intend to apply innovative solutions for smart buildings, building enclosures, greenhouses, advanced materials and digital systems for energy efficiency.
Who can participate
Subjects based in the area of the ADRION IPA Program can apply, including:
- SMEs in the building and construction sector;
- Agricultural and agro-tech enterprises;
- Deep-tech start-ups;
- University spin-offs;
- Innovative companies operating in the field of energy efficiency and smart buildings;
- Professionals (architects, engineers, designers, consultants).
What does the Call offer
The selected companies will have free access to the FENESTRAE Cross-Border Consulting System, a personalized consulting service provided by an international partnership composed of universities, innovation agencies and business support organizations.
Each company will be able to build a tailor-made path by choosing the services that best suit their needs, including:
- Technical validation and evaluation of the Technology Readiness Level (TRL);
- Support for business development and industrialization;
- Financial advice and preparation for access to investments and financing;
- Regulatory guidance and support on regulatory aspects;
- International networking and market access opportunities.
The goal is to help companies transform innovative ideas into concrete solutions, favoring transnational collaborations and new growth opportunities in the Adriatic-Ionian area.

Applications must be submitted by September 30, 2026 (11:59 PM CET).
How to participate
The Call for Ideas is published in English, as an initiative aimed at all the partner countries of the ADRION IPA Program (Croatia, Greece, Italy - only the Adriatic regions - Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, San Marino).
